Olney

Hannah has lived and worked in Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire for many years, and in Olney for some fourteen years of more.  Olney is a small market town the centre of which is built from Cotswold stone.  It has a sense of community and an annual pancake race.  Hannah and I have  moved home within the town.  In Midland Road work was needed  both in the garden, where trees were felled and bamboo planted, and in the house where redecoration has been necessary, with much modification to the kitchen and continuing changes to curtains and decorations.

Modification to the garden is based upon Japanese garden design with a water feature.

The home backs onto a raised embankment along which a railway line used to run; it is now an overgrown nature walk, with much wild life.
